Husband and Stepdad

The best role I’ve ever had is the one I never expected. Getting married for the second time brought me two wonderful grown-up step kids, and my life is richer. I try to be the best stepdad I can.

Photographer

That’s one of my images at the top of the page. In another life I might have done something in the visual or creative arts. Perhaps an architect.

Sportsman

I wouldn’t say I’m a sportsman. I tried skiing, for example, just once. But I love clay pigeon shooting. I think its the clarity of the result – the clay either breaks or it doesn’t. And I love competing.

Guitar Player

Since 1970, playing guitar has been a constant passion. It’s years since I’ve been in a band, because travelling a lot for work didn’t leave enough time. I still enjoy recording at home. And I am equipped and ready for that world tour when the call comes in.

Cook

Using ‘chef’ doesn’t feel right. I’ll settle for ‘pretty good cook’. Cooking for family and friends is rewarding. Always keep your knives sharp.
